Wakesurfing is a water sport in which a rider trails very close behind a boat, riding the boats wake or wave without being directly pulled by the boat. This can only be done on a boat with an inboard engine as the propeller is underneath the boat so the rider is safe from getting anywhere near the prop. After getting up on the wake, typically by use of a tow rope, the wakesurfers will drop the rope, and ride the steep face below the waves peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing. There are specialized boats that make massive wakes (like ours) which make the wake. Riders seek out the biggest and cleanest wakes to ride.
