The adventure begins as our highly experienced and equally entertaining safari guide picks you up from your hotel in a shared vehicle. As you’re whisked off to the desert, listen to exciting stories and fascinating facts about the UAE, as told by your knowledgeable driver.
Once you've arrived at Al Maha stables, you'll receive a safety briefing along with necessary protective equipment. You'll then meet your horse and begin your ride through the stunning dunes. The hour-long ride includes a walk, trot, or canter, depending on your comfort level.
You'll be able to take in the picturesque views and spot local wildlife along the way. Don't forget to snap some photos during the photo stop to capture the incredible scenery and cherish the memories forever.
The tour also includes soft drinks and water to keep you refreshed during the experience. Once you return to Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, you'll return your safety equipment and meet your driver to head back to your city hotel.

Know Before You Go
Due to the nature of the experience, prior booking is a must. Please be advised that this tour is suitable only for experienced riders only, with a minimum of three years of riding experience. The weight of the rider cannot exceed 85kg. Minimum age requirement is 12 years . Jeans/ riding pants and riding boots are required. If you have heart ailments, neck or back problems, participation is not recommended. Guest’s horse-riding experience and weight will be verified before proceeding with the excursion. The start time of the experience is dependent on the season, in order to ensure that guests can enjoy a beautiful desert sunrise or sunset during their ride. Guests will be provided with all required personal protective equipment along with a full safety briefing once they arrive at the Al Maha stables. All guests will be required to complete the Al Maha Activity indemnity form along with the horse-riding questionnaire. Bookings are limited to a maximum of four people per excursion. Please ensure you are in the lobby at least 15 minutes before your pick-up time. Our team on the ground will not be able to contact you if you are unavailable at the pick-up point at the designated date and time. Valid voucher copy to be presented upon meeting your guide. Please be advised that only the English riding style is permitted. This means that riders must adhere to proper English riding techniques, including the use of an English saddle and reins held in both hands.
