- Pickup: Dubai hotel pickup is included, with pickup generally between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM, depending on the season. The exact pickup time is confirmed on the day.
- Camel safari: The camel journey is approximately 45 minutes.
- Overnight accommodation: Stay in a traditional Arabic stone dwelling equipped with a bed and comfortable bedding.
- Temperature: There is no air-conditioning or heating in the overnight rooms, so bring suitable clothing for the weather.
- Bathroom facilities: Shared bathroom facilities are available; showers are not available at the overnight camp.
- Power: Camp power is switched off approximately 11:00 PM–6:00 AM, creating a peaceful overnight environment.
- Luggage: If travelling in a shared vehicle, bring only one overnight backpack/carry-on per guest, not exceeding 50 cm in height. Larger luggage should remain at your hotel.
- Hot air balloon: The flight is weather dependent. If conditions are unsuitable, the pilot may postpone or cancel the flight and an alternative arrangement may be offered.
- Children: Children under 7 years cannot fly in the hot air balloon according to the current Platinum Heritage guidance.
- Dietary requirements: Vegetarian, vegan, kosher-style and gluten-free options can be accommodated when advised at booking.
- Pregnancy: The camel safari is not recommended for guests more than six months pregnant.
- Booking: Online bookings should be made at least 3 hours in advance.
- Valid booking confirmation
- Warm jacket or sweater – Especially important for the overnight stay and early-morning balloon flight.
- Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing suitable for the desert.
- Comfortable closed shoes for the camp and desert surroundings.
- Sunglasses and a hat for daytime and morning activities.
- Sunscreen for daytime desert exposure.
- Small overnight bag – Keep luggage compact if using shared transfers.
- Personal toiletries – Particularly useful as there are no showers at the overnight camp.
- Phone or camera – For sunset, the desert camp and sunrise balloon views.
- Personal medication and essentials required during the overnight stay.
